To Win The 2016 US Presidential Election

Cassiel C. MacAvity

Following the 2012 presidential election and amidst the right wing howls of OhmiGhod Obama Won!!!!!, and, Oh Woe, what Is the poor, beleaguered Republican To Do?!?!?!?!! I argue that the actual and only issue is clinging to out of date and totally broken definitions, and more so, that the problem comes from those who blindly and unthinkingly cling to those long dead definitions and demand that everyone else do so as well.

Let us declare and remind that there is no such thing as "moderate" in politics, that there is only the conservative, who is bookended on the right and left by the totally, in the gutter, right and left wing extremists.

Among the proofs, consider a trio of assertions, and rate them:

    A) Guns and private ownership of guns are Wrong, damned, must be destroyed, corrected, banned, fixed, whatever it takes to make 'em go away.
---Is this right wing or left wing? Is this conservative or liberal?

    B) Gays are Wrong, damned, must be destroyed, corrected, banned, fixed, whatever it takes to make 'em go away.
---Is this right wing or left wing? Is this conservative or liberal?

    C) "We're here, we're queer, we are extremely and thoroughly armed to the teeth and will remain so, we vote, and y'all will agree with our armed and gay presence absolutely and totally, or we will vote your collective ass out of office."
---Is this right wing or left wing? Is this conservative or liberal? . . Oh, by the way, aside from the utterly hypocritical and blindingly destructive DADT finally making its long overdue trip to the grave, also Google for "pink pistols" . . . . . .

Option A) is the left wing liberal, the practicing extremist who demands that everything rightwards of the totally extreme left is to be absolutely and totally hated and despised for being right wing.

Option B) is the right wing absolutely-as-liberal, the practicing extremist who demands that everything leftwards of the totally extreme right is to be absolutely and totally hated and despised for being left wing. . . .

Yes, Right wing liberal . . . . being of the practice shared by the other extremist twin of My Agenda Must Prevail, Gimme Mine Now, There Is Only MY Ideology, I Hate Reason, I Hate Everything That Is Not My Political Faith, My Way My Way My Way . . Is that being conservative, conserving, being reasoned, assessing the facts as they are, devoid of faith? Oh, Hell no . . . . .

Option C) Is the conservative, conserving, protecting, assessing, weighing the options according to the needs, noting that something which does exist just is, that as something does continue, it continues and does not fade away because it does exist and it continues to exist, whatever that something is . . .

Consider http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-gene-sullivan/capitalism---the-gift-tha_b_170893.html and the following three additional parts of that essay . . . The right wing reaction to anything written by a longtime playwright of the San Francisco Mime Troupe would probably be That +)*#&$% #$()%*& can)_#*(&)*(% just _)(#&*%$)_*(7 right _)*%&$# Now!!!!! My reaction is that well, yeah, that Would indeed be the mere right wing, wouldn't it, whereas what Sullivan writes in that essay is, whether the right wing likes it or not, absolute, hard core, full bore political and economic conservatism.

So, of this most recent presidential election, and the one before it . . . . In both cases, Obama came out of the Democrats, and therefore ostensibly came from the left wing, and especially so after Clinton lost out during the '08 campaigning. Therefore the left wing extremists had no choice but to support him, where one facet of the '08 campaign was the resulting adulation of the left wing extremists' worship of the perceived carrier of The Faith. Also in '08, McCain may not have necessarily been The Republican---all that The Maverick labeling after all---but in time he was the only option remaining for the right wing, and, with Palin on hand to present a hook for the rabid right wing to grab onto, Palin's presence also had the effect of dragging that non-Obama choice further off towards the right wing gutter.

In doing so, that rightwards delineation rather inspired the conservative voter---not right wing voter, Conservative---to vote for the more conservative choice over the less conservative choice . . . And in '08, the more conservative candidate, Obama, won because of the left wing votes combined with the conservative votes, collecting a popular vote of some 52% to 45%---those numbers according to Wikipedia . . .

By '12, rather a bunch of the left wing extremists were enraged. Obama had not, after all, followed and carried out the tenets of The Faith---One sign of such rage was the very early flurries of that very short lived Draft Clinton movement. However, especially with Clinton blatantly focusing on being the Secretary of State, the left wing liberals still ended up with no choice, as Obama continued to be of and from the Democrats.

At the same time though, Obama still continued to be the same conservative candidate that he had always been from the beginning . . . . and that gave the right wing absolutely nowhere else to go but further to the right, continuing to focus on The Faith---in this case, the right wing liberal variety of The Faith---where Romney Will Win because Romney Will Win because Romney Will Win---Oh, Bloody, Hell!!!!, what do you mean that even Fox is declaring that Obama has won?!?!?!?!!?

This time, however, the popular percentages came out to about 51% to 47%. The conservative candidate did beat the right wing candidate, again, but this time I don't think there were quite so many of the left wing liberals canceling out the right wing liberals. In '08 the popular vote was about 69.5M vs about 60M, and in '12, about 65.5M vs about 61M . . . . .

So at this point, the right wing is gnashing its teeth---or apparently as it's now being toothless, gnashing its dentures---but for Two successive elections, So Far, the sole issue in the presidential election Has Not Been the Democrats vs Republicans. The sole issue of these last two elections is that the winner is, hands down, the conservative candidate.

I state that the winner of the next presidential election will also be the conservative candidate . . . . where as far as parties are concerned, will the Republicans field a conservative candidate after 8 years of a Democrat being the conservative leader and day-to-day conservative example? Or, will the next Democratic candidate learn the lessons presented by Obama and also be the next conservative candidate?

Me, the last two elections I voted for the conservative candidate, and the next election I bloody well will do the same. The left and right wing liberal extremists will continue to get stuck in their respective and opposing liberal gutters as the rest of us continue on down the conservative political road, because there has never been and never will be such a political position as "moderate".

Following the 2012 presidential election and amidst the howls from the left and right wing liberals of OhmiGhod Obama Won!!!!!, and, Oh Woe, what Is the poor, beleaguered MemberOfPartyName To Do?!?!?!?!! I argue that the actual and only issue is clinging to out of date and totally broken definitions, and more so, that the problem comes from those who blindly and unthinkingly cling to those long dead definitions and demand that everyone else do so as well.
